We understand that lots of sellers state artists products are of the highest quality when they are really just a cheap import, we are rating our items at the level of artists that should use them. Beginners are artists that are looking for a nice quality product that will give them a good taste of what the medium is like to work with. Beginners & Student/Studio are products that student level artists should be buying and beginners should consider buying. Artists that are starting to get into the medium, still learning but wanting a higher quality finish and will enjoy high quality products. Student/Studio & Professional are the highest quality product lines which are for artists that understand the medium and require the highest quality finish. Normally able to get the higher asking prices for their work. Beginners & Student/Studio & Professional are designed for all levels of artist.

We make every effort to take images to show the true colour and finish of the product. However, due to lighting conditions, screen resolution and manufacture changes the representation of colour, texture and finish may vary from screen to screen and on different devices. Images are correct from our first listing date, manufacturers' may update product design or contents without notice.We use our own images of the products (95% +) we sell or those offered by the manufacture that we feel are of high quality and we have the right to show. We do not grant permission for our images to be used as is or to be adapted by any other person. Use of our images is an infringement of intellectual property rights and action will be taken against persons that use them. We adhere to all eBay policies regarding image rights.

About Local art shop

Local art shop is a family run retail business that was started 2004 by Mark on eBay and local market and craft stalls. Having studied fine art at University and travelled extensively taking in all styles and techniques of art, passing the knowledge and ideas where he can. For the last 10 years local art shop has been based in the old family shop, run by Marks grandparents for over 40 years before retiring. Local art shop aims to offer the best quality products for the level and price point you choose. Selecting brands that are lesser known, except to professional artists, they offer a higher standard of pigment/quality or better value for money than the normal high street brands. Helping you save money and make better art work.

Package your items

Our goal is to make sure your purchase arrives in good condition. With price being so important to a lot of eBayer we recycle packaging materials and waste mount card from our picture framing services to help limit the additional costs in properly protecting your goods. With a range of packaging which include padded bags, cardboard envelopes wraps and boxes, as well as when necessary bubble wrap. Unlike a lot of cheap the eBay sellers we only use plastic mailbags when we feel the item cannot be damaged or have used additional protection inside. We work on how my mum would pack it, as everyone knows mums are always right and know how to wrap things best. We still look to be amongst the cheapest priced sellers only with the best packs items.

Feel free to messages through eBay messenger and will try our best to help. We aim to reply as quickly as possible. Mondays 9 - 12, Tuesday to Saturday 9 - 5. Outside these hours messages are not frequently monitored.

How we Ship

All items are in stock and ready to ship, most from our shop in Nottingham. We aim to ship within one business day of purchase and do get 99% of items ordered by 10am out the same working day. (Monday to Friday excluding public holidays). Please click on the P&P tab to see all the postage rates; estimated delivery dates and extra services we offer for the listing. For UK purchases we use royal mail for small items. For heavy and larger items we use a courier. Where as Royal Mail charges the same for the whole of the UK, courier companies do charge more for Non Mainland UK addresses so we pass that on, however, we look for the best price for you.With regards to non UK deliverys we offer on eligible items eBay global shipping. We do not have any control over the prices or delivery times offered they are set by eBay. Items are sent to there UK centre and shipped to non UK address from there.
