M42 Helios 44-2 58mm F/2 Lens With Petzval Mod
This legendary Soviet lens is a clone of the Carl Zeiss Biotar, and in standard form, is renowned for it's distinctive and attractive image quality and bokeh.
This version has had the "Petzval Mod" carried out which radically alters the character of the lens.
Images now have a surreal "dreamy" look with a glowing, soft focus effect, and the swirly bokeh increased to all new levels!
Images from this lens have a distinctive and other worldly appeal to them without needing to apply software special effect filters!
Please be aware that his lens is modified specifically to give a special effect. The effect is strongest with the aperture wide open and decreases gradually as you close the aperture down.
The lens has an M42 screw mount and can be easily adapted to fit most modern camera brands.
