1971 Press Photo Privy in foreground of the historic Hanley House, Clayton, MO

This is an original press photo. Mayor Hy Waltuch of Clayton said Monday that the privy in the foreground will stay where it is, as part of the plan for a realistic restoration of Hanley House, once the center of a plantation. The privy was declared a state shrine by the Missouri Senate after residents of the area near Hanley House complained about it. Privy, Bathrooms. Photo measures 9.75 x 7.25inches.
