A 4 inch tall amber-colored rectangular-shaped antique bottle that originally came filled with 100 OPIUM LACED TABLETS that were sugar coated for easy consumption. This bottle is EMPTY it has NO contents. This is a RARE bottle to find in that it still retains its original FULL LABEL down the front, another above the first, and mentions OPIUM twice on the label. This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating it all the way back to the 1800's.

Base of bottle embossed: "S & D" for "SHARP & DOHME".
Bottle's label mentions: " ... Bismuth, Opium AND Carbolic Acid ... OPIUM POWDERED ..... 1/2 gr ... SHARP & DOHME BALTIMORE, MD."
Condition: This bottle is in solid condition, NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. The labels have minimal age wear but some discoloring and tattering, but they are 100 % legible. PLEASE SEE pictures for overall idea of the bottle AND the paper labels' condition/appearance.
Age: An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. late 1800's.
Shipping: FREE domestic shipping. We DO ship Internationally but we do NOT insure International orders unless buyer specifically requests this and we are able to provide an insurance estimate. If an international shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what YOU pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the ACTUAL shipping costs! This is important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are estimates. We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and your prompt payment will hasten the turn-around time.

This is another hard-to-find bottle with OPIUM listed on the label, in two places! Note that the base embossing and the label both refer to SHARP and DOHME which authenticate that this is the REAL DEAL an antique CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE bottle. Only so many of these bottles have survived the elements of time with their original paper labels intact. This is a finite item and quite possibly a one-of-a-kind to have survived with this exact OPIUM label on it, check it out!
