Antique Religious Unique Sterling Silver Holy Water Font Rococo Louis XV 19th C


Description : 


This sterling silver holy water font is richly carved with rocailles and asymmetrical Louis XV scrolls.
The Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child in her arms is overlooked by two winged angels holding a crown surmounted by a dove. The holy water font is carved with two angels perched on a cloud from heaven.
Hallmarks dating from the 19th century.
