Step back to 1984 with this piece showcasing Roland on the Ropes, a game that had players hooked with its dungeon-crawling antics.

Created by Indescomp, a Spanish team that later became part of Amstrad Spain, this title was brought to life by programmer José Antonio Martín and artist José María Ramos. You take on the role of Roland, a plucky adventurer in a fedora, swinging on ropes, nabbing treasures, and dodging creepy critters like bats and mummies in a maze of underground chambers. The game’s knack for mixing sharp reflexes with clever navigation made every level a proper test of skill, keeping you on your toes.

The team at Indescomp had their work cut out, pushing the Amstrad CPC’s limits to craft a game with snappy controls and eye-catching pixel art. Released across Europe, it won over players in the UK and Spain with its addictive challenge, turning Roland into a bit of a legend among early gamers. It even sparked sequels like Roland in the Caves, and today, retro fans still rave about its nail-biting moments.

This model of Roland’s dungeon escapade is a brilliant find for 80s gaming lovers, capturing a chunk of gaming history.

Approx 5" Tall with a unique textured surface, this 3D printed model is made from high-quality, recyclable PLA, both lightweight and durable, making it an ideal display piece.
