I usually start things at 99p, lots of people watch them and then sometimes when the auction ends there's only one watching and the item sells for 99p which isn't worth anyones time! If you saw this in an antique shop it certainly wouldn't be 99p! So the starting bid is to reflect not it’s actual value but the amount that it would be worth me going to the effort of originally paying for , sourcing after the sale , wrapping up and sending all of which take time and effort and as you know nothing is free nowadays!
Will ship via Royal Mail Tracked 48 Hour and will be well packaged. PLEASE don't arrange your own shipping for this item as I have to have it collected from my property due to the nearest drop off point being 20 miles away and I have disabilities. I have this happen regularly where buyers win the auction then pre-pay for the shipping and they choose Evri drop off point , well i cannot make it to a drop off point and so i would have to cancel the sale and re-list if you did that. It makes no difference to you as a customer as i always try to use the correct amount of postage (usually £2.70 Royal Mail 48hr Tracked for smaller items ) and i don't charge for the packaging and although i do try to recycle most of the time i don't get the packaging for free myself ie tape, jiffy bags, brown paper, fragile tape, paper printer ink (electricity!) , bubble wrap etc etc
