This is an outstanding and original World War I U.S. Army uniform set attributed to the Engineers Reserve Corps. The set includes a four-pocket wool tunic and matching riding breeches, both retaining their original insignia and collar devices. The tunic features the distinctive black diamond patch with red border and white “R” for Reserve, along with a red private rank chevron, service stripe, and bronze “U.S.” and castle engineer collar discs. The trousers are classic WWI cavalry-style breeches, complete with rear cinch strap and buttoned cuffs.

The uniform remains in very good condition for its age, showing typical wear but no major damage. Stitching and buttons are intact, and all patches appear period-applied. This set offers a rare glimpse into the appearance of reserve engineering personnel during the Great War, and would be a fine addition to any WWI militaria collection or museum display.

Jacket: 14” shoulder to shoulder x 26” overall length (approx. 36 x 66 cm)

Trousers: 30” waist x 38” outseam (approx. 76 x 96.5 cm)
