Cecil Surratt and Smitty Smith - S & S Ride b/w Second Hand Hearts (King 5383). This summer of 1961 release was by the duo of Surratt and Smith, two artists from southern West Virginia who sometimes recorded songs of a style adapted from the folk music of that area of the Appalachian Mountains. This one features an up-tempo number that merges country with an almost honky-tonk meets ragtime sound and a flip with a good traditional country vocal cut. Take a listen to a little of each side. Record is in M- condition.
