You know, folks, when I ran across this cup, it reminded me of my days in the Bahamas with Ernest Hemingway. You know he used to come down to the Bahamas just to get away from everything and I caught him down there one July afternoon. He was sitting in a bodega carving out something in a piece of wood. He said he had been working on it a couple of months and it was going to be some kind of fine. he said he was carving a cup. He said he always like to whittle but sometimes just whittle for inspiration. He sat there and he just carved away on that piece of wood and ‘fore long I’ll say another two months I went back and he had carved out him a cup just like the one I found. See what happened was he started using that wooden cup to drink in his favorite watering holes. Well people down there saw it and wanted one like it. Well he couldn’t carve that many, so he found him a company that can make them out of ceramic.

Well, don’t you know people started buying those cups like pancakes Why ole Ernie made enough money to where he stayed snookered for the rest of the summer and into the winter. I tried to hang with him, but he was too much for me, but we had fun.
