Oscar Jacobsson was a Swedish comic creator and cartoonist. In 1920, he created the comic strip Adamson for the publication Söndags-Nisse. The character Adamson was a little, silent (usually), cigar-smoking man with a big hat and frequent misadventures.
The strip soon became very popular and became published in hundreds of newspapers all over the world. In the United States, it became known as "Silent Sam".
The book is in acceptable condition with age related wear and tear. There is a large watermark throughout the book on the bottom of the pages. There is an inscription on the title page and on almost every page there is a English translation of each cartoons German title.
There is creasing, bends, a few small tears and heavy tonning to the book, taped spine head and foot and corners.
The book is complete, but there is a loose leaf at the end of the book.
