Product Description

African Kota mask hand-carved from wood and featuring a round symmetrical form with closed eyelids, deeply incised brows, and a prominent forehead symbol carved into a four-pointed star. The mask is finished in a warm patina with soft gradient from dark outer edges to a lighter center. Below the eyes are two sharp X-shaped scarification marks, representing ritual significance and tribal identity. This type of African Kota mask was used in ancestor veneration and spiritual rites among the Kota people of Gabon. Its calm expression and symmetrical features are designed to evoke presence, stillness, and protection.

Returns
