The original Aladdin hotel in Las Vegas started as the Tallyho  Hotel in 1962, without a casino. It was rebranded as the Aladdin in 1966 with an Arabian theme, hosted Elvis and Priscilla Presley's wedding in 1967, and closed permanently in 1997 before being replaced by Planet Hollywood in 2007
The hotel faced various financial issues and ownership changes, and a planned renovation failed in the late 1980s. It closed for good on November 25, 1997, with its implosion occurring in April 1998.
