Double Rare Historic Collectible RBM 1874 🐝 ATRICE Locket, Gold Filled, IBPOEW. Truly a Beautiful and Significant piece of Jewelry over 100 years old, and in Excellent Vintage Antique Jewelry Condition.

IMPORTANT: Special Piece, indeed. This is an old gold filled locket by the RBM Atrice Co. (RB MacDonald). It has a honeybee figure stamped inside (symbolizing the letter B) along with "Atrice"-which makes "Beatrice". It is also stamped 1874.It is designed for the IMPROVED BENEVOLENT AND PROTECTIVE ORDER OF ELKS OF THE WORLD. (IBPOEW) This is an African American fraternal order modeled on the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. IBPOEW was established in 1897. In the early 21st century, it has 500,000 members and 1500 lodges. It is considered the largest Black fraternal order. The front of the locket has a 3-D logo of this order. It is an Elk-with a clock above. It is surrounded by an engraved design with 10 stones. All intact. It is in excellent condition for its age. So this locket can have double appeal.
