Note: The performance of every antenna depends on its installation situation. Any active antenna will not work well indoors! It should be installed outdoors, and as high as possible. Put this MiniWhip antenna PCB inside a suitable enclosure of your choice, and then install it outdoors. For the enclosure, you may be able to use a section of PVC pipe, which is available in various diameters at your local store. Do not use a metal enclosure! It will not work there!

This antenna should be placed as high as possible and away from metal conductors.
The ground plane of the PCB must not be below the top of the mast.
(The connection to the antenna for surface must be above the top of the mast).
For best signal to noise ratio: (below)
Mount the Miniwhip to a well grounded mast.
Connect the "GND" of the Miniwhip PCB to this mast.
Place HI-Ui ferrite cores (Ui between 5000 and 10.000) at the beginning and end of all cables to block cable noise currents.
