This is an original press photo. Surrey, England-A Country Gentleman in England James J. Walker, former mayor of New York City, and his wife, the former Betty Compton of Broadway musical comedy fame (both shown at the left), at their home, "The Thatch,", built by Mrs. Walker's mother and where they are both now her guests. Photo measures 9 x 7 inches. Photo is dated 10-29-1934.
