This is an original press photo. Federal Bureau of Investigation Chief J. Edgar Hoover (left) and United States Attorney General J. Howard McGrath as they appeared today before the Senate Crime Committee here and joined in urging the people of America to arouse themselves to war against the underworld. In departing from his prepared statement to cite cases of what he termed "skullduggery", Hoover testified that a "prominent criminal and powerful politician, Irving Sherman, formerly was driven about New York in a police car by a man who later became Deputy Police Inspector" Washington, District of ColumbiaPhoto measures 8.75 x 6.5inches.
