This is an original press photo. Alief Independent School District's 16th elementary school, currently unnamed, is under construction at 10255 Spice Lane. The school is being built from proceeds of a bond issue approved in 1982. Voters in the school district will decide December 13 whether to approve a $67.6 million bond referendum that would finance two additional elementary schools and another middle school, plus the land on which to build them.
