Calculate Your Pond Size

Before using Blanket Clear, calculate your pond volume to ensure the correct amount is applied.

Length (m) × Width (m) × Average Depth (m) × 1,000 = Pond Volume (litres)

Length (ft) × Width (ft) × Average Depth (ft) × 6.23 = Pond Volume (UK gallons)
If your pond has different depths, use the average depth for the most accurate calculation.

🌿 Treatment Programme

For best results, follow the three-step Blanket Clear programme:

1️⃣ Initial Treatment – Remove Existing Blanket Weed & Algae

For ponds with visible algae or blanket weed:
Use 20g of Blanket Clear per 1,000 litres of pond water.

Measure the required amount of Blanket Clear.
Mix the powder in a watering can filled with pond water.
Sprinkle evenly over the affected areas of the pond.
Keep pumps and filters running during treatment.
Ensure good aeration, especially when treating heavy algae growth.
Blanket Clear starts working immediately on contact, releasing active oxygen to help break down algae and blanket weed.

2️⃣ Follow-Up Treatment – 14 Days Later

After the initial treatment, apply a reduced dose to help control remaining algae and prevent regrowth.
Use 10g of Blanket Clear per 1,000 litres of pond water.
Apply in the same way by mixing with pond water in a watering can and distributing evenly over affected areas.

3️⃣ Weekly Maintenance – Keep Your Pond Clear

Once your pond is clear and healthy:
Use 0.5g of Blanket Clear per 1,000 litres of pond water once per week.
Regular low dose maintenance helps reduce the chance of blanket weed and algae returning.
