“Chronicle of European Sarmatia” by O. Gvanini is an important historical source and monument of European historiography of the 16th–17th centuries. Written in an easy, accessible and interesting way, “Chronicle…” has become an invaluable guide for studying the history and geography of the peoples and countries of Central and Eastern Europe, as well as their neighbors.
This work was extremely popular with our ancestors, was repeatedly reprinted in the Latin original; it was translated into German, Czech, and Polish.
