The Republic YF-84-J, the latest in the series of "Thunderjet" and "Thunderstreak" fighter bombers which have atomic bomb capability, is shown undergoing its first flight test at Edwards Air Force Base, California. Two of the aircraft were ordered by the Air Force for experimental purposes. Photo measures 9 x 7.25 inches. Photo is dated 5-12-1954.
