This 1936 Hong Kong King
George VI One Dollar banknote from the Government of Hong Kong, has a dark
purple on multi color underprint and features the portrait of King George VI in
an oval frame to the right of the front. The front also displays the
denomination as well as one signature in black. On the reverse side on the top
is the notation “Government of Hongkong”, and Chinese (traditional, regular
script) with “One Dollar” shown in the middle. The back is purple and displays
the denomination in the center as well in all four corners. The banknote is
printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd. This note is a stunning
