This desk accessory has been stored away, forgotten and never used. I may have purchased it on one of my travels. I'm downsizing and must find it a home.

It measures about 6" x 6" and can be used to hold pens. The glass insert part can be used to hold a cup, glass  or paper clips. Under the glass is paper. I have not tried to remove the glass insert as it fits tightly.  Seen in the picture  of the glass insert  is not a crack but a fold in the paper underneath. I left the label on the felt underside. It easily peels off and may give a clue to the origin of the piece.

The wood appears lightly varnished. On close look there are several small hairline marks in the finish which can be seen in some of the pictures.
