Illustrated throughout in black and white by Pauline Baynes.

Mild crushing and discolouration to spine tips, heavy cocking to spine, foxing and a little staining to top edge, small penned name to half-title, small number stamped to rear paste-down; else a clean, tightly bound copy. In a moderately worn dust wrapper with lightly yellowed panels, tanning to spine, nibbling to extremities with small portions of loss to spine tips, creasing to rear and a closed tear to head of spine, as pictured; now placed in an archival wrapper.

A first edition, third printing copy of the story following Edmund, Lucy, and their cousin Eustace who join King Caspian on a seafaring quest across enchanted islands to find seven lost lords and restore Narnia’s honor.
