How we Measure (we use a fabric tape. Please use the same for the most accurate comparison)
We measure the waist by lying the jeans flat and aligning the front and back and measuring straight across the top, then doubling it. As for the hips, lay the jeans flat but let them settle in their natural shape (usually the front dips down and is lower than the back). Then measure straight across, side to side, center to the crotch and top of the jeans (w/out doubling it). Do the same with the thighs, side to side, about 4 inches below the top of the inseam. The knee and leg opening are side to side as well (without doubling). The inseam is from bottom of jeans to where the inseam intersects the rise seam.
