Antique French Clock Pendulum Unique Oval Shape Gilt Bronze Early 20th Century


Description : 


 

Oval-shaped clock with four faces made of curved beveled glass. Commemorative clock, a plaque affixed to the front mentions :  1914/1918. White enamel dial set within a gilt bronze frame decorated with ornate and blued hand friezes. Movement signed by the clockmaker Japy, mercury-compensated balance, striking the hours and half-hours on a gong. Perfect working condition, supplied with its winding key.
Note: a chip in one corner of the glass of the rear door. This defect is not visible from the front and in no way affects the operation of the clock or its structure.
