Ibanez is extremely popular in hard rock and hard metal.
This model is part of the 7-string RG series announced by Ibanez in mid-2014, and is made in Indonesia by the Iron Label line, which specializes in metal.
Its features include a 24-fret ebony fingerboard without inlays, a neck-through construction using 7 pieces of maple and walnut with graphite rods as reinforcement. It is lightweight at 3.66 kg for a 7-string guitar, but is also sturdy.
It also uses the Nitro Wizard-7, which features a thin and easy-to-grip structure, providing excellent playability from technical playing to backing.
The pickup is the EMG 707, a pickup designed specifically for 7-string guitars.
The tight response and clear, thick sound that 7-string guitarists love convey the charm of the low B to the fullest, from open chords to intense bridge mutes.
In addition, the bridge is a Gibraltar Standard II-7 fixed bridge, and the machine head is Gotoh's SG381 MG-T locking, which provides stable tuning and smooth string changes. The kill switch allows you to instantly switch between mutes.
