- In memory of the 25th anniversary of the death of Kubrick, who passed away at the age of 70 on March 7, 1999, his masterpiece "2001: A Space Odyssey" is released for the first time as a 4K ULTRA HD steelbook.

- A luxurious 3-disc set that includes a 4K ULTRA HD & HD digitally remastered Blu-ray with a Japanese dubbed version, plus a bonus disc.

*The disc is the same as the "2001: A Space Odyssey Japanese dubbed version <4K ULTRA HD & HD digitally remastered Blu-ray set> (3-disc set)".

・In addition to the steelbook with the newly designed key art, as a bonus, an art card (7-piece set/double-sided) and a poster (2-piece/single-sided and double-sided) are enclosed in an original envelope.

[Story]

2001: A Space Odyssey, which won an Academy Award(R), depicts the battle between humans and computers with ecstatic images and music.

Kubrick (who co-wrote the screenplay with Arthur C. Clarke) performed the amazing feat of transcending thousands of years of time (one of the best jump cut scenes in film history) from prehistoric apes to the colonized universe.

Will astronaut Bowman (Kier Dullea), who has set foot in a region of space that humanity has never seen before, be sublimated into an immortal existence?
