The 46th Indianapolis 500 race took place on 5/30/1962 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with Roger Ward winning the race.
The badge depicts the design of the "new" main gate of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway erected in 1956.
On the back are three symbols - the first looks like a wheel, the second is the insignia of the Bastian Bros of Rochester NY, and the
third shows the "IJWU" = the International Jewelry Workers, as it reads "Union Made" at the bottom of their symbol.
The badge measures a 7/8" tall x 1 1/8" wide
It weighs 0.3 ounces without the packaging materials.
