Al Capps, original
handwritten arrangement for a full orchestra on music manuscript paper in pencil for the song The
Way of Love to be sung by Jim Nabors, 6 pages, 17 by 14 inches, in very good
condition (the manuscript has been folded in half.). The arrangement includes the following instruments: 8 violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, electric guitar, piano, bass, drums, and percussion. On the back of the last page
is handwritten information concerning the arrangement that was likely used to
file the manuscript. (The Way of Love was composed by Jack Dieval with lyrics by Al Stillman.)
The song was recorded by Jim Nabors as the title song for his 1972 Columbia album (KC 31336) The Way of Love in which Al Capps arranged every song. He covered the song in the same year as Cher released her recording, the most well-known recording of the song.
