A Concise History of Painting 1873 Published by Bell & Daldy
A scarce1st edition, illustrated with 12 mounted photographs of paintings. The photographs, probably woodburytypes, all in great condition! last page still un opened.  

author as in book Mrs. Charles Heaton, at the time women were not allowed to publish under there own name so Mary Margaret Heatonhad to publish under her husbands name.

over all very good condition for its age. on cover, some minor bumps on corners, gilding almost intact, some small light dirt marks, small amount of white paint. pages, yellowed, foxing on a few pages, two pages have what looks like charcoal dust covering them. binding showing a little wear as expected with use. pages very bright and in a great readable condition.
