A nice and transparent side scepter Amethyst crystal from the Little Gem mine, near Butte, MT. Neat formation, where the scepter grows on a much more crude, brownish underlying Quartz crystal. Nice to see the difference between the first and second generation, with the scepter Amethysts at this locality usually being the second generation, often of hydrothermal origin, where the first generation is much older and tied to the formation of the granitic Boulder Batholith. This specimen is 2 1/2 oz in weight, or 71 grams. The size is 2 inch x 1.8 inch x 1.3 inch.  Please be advised, I ship with Ground Advantage.
