This mini license plate was manufactured for Post cereal for their 1988 set of cereal plates.  This set was a short-lived return to the "normal" production of Post license plates after 1985 saw no plates, then 1987 saw a huge decrease in production. While these are more common than the 1987 plates, there was never a return to the pre-1985 production numbers, which make these a bit more scarce and harder to obtain than many of the pre-1985 sets.

This is a very well made steel miniature scale reproduction of a license plate that was included in boxes of post cereal, and was also available through the mail as a set. These are readily available but can individually be a challenge to locate for a reasonable price such as you see here.

I have collected mini license plate items since the mid-1970s, and have a collection numbering well over 3,000 items. I am slowly getting into turning this into a business to feed my habit.
