Product Details:
This is a traditional wheeled chest (Kuruma Tansu), crafted in the Yonezawa region of Japan, made entirely of zelkova wood with lacquer finish.
Kuruma Tansu (Wheeled Chest):
A chest with wheels attached to the bottom, designed to allow valuables to be moved in the event of a fire or other disaster.
This piece is characterized by its sense of solidity and the striking color contrast between the wood and metal fittings.
A key is included. While we will adjust it for smooth operation before shipping, please note that it is an old item and may not withstand long-term use. Among the items we handle, there are rare cases where drawers, doors, or knobs have a mechanism that locks when moved. To prevent accidental lock-ins, please store the key separately from the drawers or doors of the item.
Currently, it takes about 3 weeks from the time of order to complete the repair.
Therefore, for orders received before a long holiday, please expect that it may take about a month to complete the repair.
