The head cooling mod adapter for M57 is a must need for every engine runing more than 400 + horsepower or is oftenly abused like track , drift or agressive street driving . It certainly is a helpful modification for less powerfull cars. Original cooling system doesnt run through the 6th cylinder which as a result leads to serious piston and block damage.  The adapter will solve this problem. To install the adapter you are only required to :

• to remove the plug at the end of the head
• to drill a hole for the second bolt that holds the head cooling mod adapter in place .

  This is really easy procedure when the head is dissasembled .

The head cooling mod set includes :

• the adapter iteself
• rubber water seal
• adapter M20 to 19mm hose
• two bolts.

We do recommend to connect the coolant lines as shown on the diagram . For this method you will need to have your EGR cooler deleted or take the water line from the external oil cooler plate for m57 that we offer . Additinal auxiliary water pump between the adapter and the hose to feed the head is an option too . In either case the back two cylinders of the head will cool properly !!
