Up for sale is a vintage 1970 scarce Breitling diver's watch. The stainless steel case is approximately 36mm in diameter, not including the crown and is about 45mm from top to bottom. The case is in very good condition with all of its original finish. There is a tiny nick on the outside corner of the lower right lug. The case back has the reference number 3962. The watch however resembles a reference 3865. It is the correct original back so I do not know why it has the reference number that it has. That would be a question for Breitling in 1970. There is a personalization on the case back from Christmas 1970. The black dial is in very good condition. It has a 17 jewel ETA automatic movement. It is in running condition but is in need of a cleaning. The watch has a new leather strap which is not Breitling. I do not have the box or papers for this watch. While this watch was waterproof 50+ years ago, I do not guarantee that it is waterproof anymore. Please view the photos and ask questions as needed.
