A fine mid 19th century fluted ironstone teapot hand decorated in an imari pattern.

It stands 5.5" tall and measures 8.5" from handle to spout.

The tea pot is in good antique used condition and displays very well.  There is a visible hairline on the lid 'lug' and a small fleabite chip under the spout only seen on close inspection.  No other chips or cracks and only minor and clean age crazing.

There is a painted pattern number on the base that I cannot read and also an incised 'V' marking.  No other makers markings and I have been unable to identify thee maker but this is a well potted item.
