If you're Gen X or an X-ennial and grew up in Jersey, I would bet good money that your Grandma had one of these when you were a kid. I would double that wager if you are Italian or from Hudson County. If you can't remember, it was probably displayed proudly next to the ash tray on the coffee table in front of the plastic covered couches.
Vintage Capodimonte flower basket. Made in Italy.
This had been on a shelf in my parents house for as long as I can remember, so I would guesstimate late 1970's or early 1980's since I started forming memories around 1983 or so. The colors are still really vibrant, which was a surprise to me when I cleaned it. While the 40+ years of dust, ash, and grime may be cleaned away now, it apparently kept this preserved, because there aren't any chips or cracks that I can see.
Free shipping because your grandma says a sweet kid like you deserves it.
I have a few different vintage and/or otherwise cool items for sale, so please take a look at other items I have listed. Even of your just a lookie-loo, you'll at least have a fun walk down memory lane and possibly a chuckle or two.
When you buy from me, not only are you helping support a single mom with cleaning out her childhood home as well as her "grief through shopping, sarcasm, and bad jokes" self-therapy, but I will leave you awesome reviews that will bolster your self-esteem... but only if you're awesome. If you suck, my review will still be awesome, although probably scathing and possibly targeting your innermost insecurities. Also, when you buy second hand, you're helping the planet by saving these vintage treasures from a landfill - or worse, bad craft attempts, probably by me.
Please message if interested or if you would like more information or additional photos because I may not see comment notifications on here.
