Ethical, Natural Slow Fashion. These Norwegian style Selbu mittens are handmade using Rauma Lamull which is a yarn made from 100% lamb’s wool from Norwegian sheep. It is a traditional style of mittens made using two thin, different coloured threads knitted together in a fair isle pattern. The mittens are then felted. Felted mittens are soft, lightweight, a little bit fuzzy and very warm. With the right care, these mittens will last you for years because of the quality of the material. Remember to hand wash with cold water, otherwise they will shrink and felt even further. The yarn is not made or dyed using harsh chemicals and is considered safe even for babies. (The size of these mittens are Womens Large. See pictures of my hand compared to the mittens. I usually use size L in womens gloves.)
