Up for bids is this rare early version Nikkor micro lens from about 1962. This is the second version of the micro which corrected a design flaw on the 1st gen. This version featured a raised thread for filters. Filters were an afterthought in the original design, and an adapter needed to be used to install them. This version provided a solution built in.

There were only about 2277 of this lens made and this is one of the very last off the line.

 The lens glass is flawless, with no fungus, haze or scratches. The barrel has little sign of use. The aperture opens and closes well - no oil noted. This is a preset lens, so there is no spring lever to set the aperture; instead you preset the aperture, then meter and expose. The mounting ring holds secure. Focus is excellent.
