Pleased to offer the most beautiful candelabra I've had the honor of looking after. A true definition of class and craftsmanship; I present to you this neoclassical, Italian made, porcelain two armed masterpiece. Florals dance about the body of this piece and two putto figures sit on the middle with what I believe are floral vines in their arms. This piece would be perfect for any mantle, bookshelf, entry way, dining/coffe table, dresser etc. Marked on bottom with "Italy" and sourced here in the Berkshires of Ma at an absolutely gorgeous estate. Enjoy.
Flaws:
- please fully view images and use zoom feature to be sure you are happy with this item and all of it's details and imperfections
- chipped spots but they blend in very very well due to the cohesive coloring and overall design of this piece.
- chipped petals on about three flowers on each side (please zoom on images to get a good look)
- chip on the nose tip on one of the figures but the base porcelain blends with the glaze color well so it is hard to spot
- chips to ends of both vines in the figures hands ( also hard to notice)
- crazing lines throughout; a sought after characteristic by collectors as it happens over time due to aging.
Measurements:
- about 13 1/2 inches long (straight across from one edge of candle wax catcher to the other)
- 7 3/4th inches tall (from surface to top of figures heads)
- 4 1/2 inches wide/deep at the widest point (base)
