Discover the Thrills of Triathlon: A Fun Family Card Game
What is Triathlon: the Card Game?
Triathlon is an engaging, family-friendly, run-based card game designed for 3 to 9 players. Unlike a typical run based, draw and discard card game, this unique game provides a number of strategic choices to make during the game. Players will find themselves immersed in a competitive atmosphere in which every player has a chance to win up until the last run is completed.
How to Play Triathlon
Triathlon is played in rounds. During each round players use their turn to complete one of the three stages needed to win the game. The object being to get all five of your cards into a numeric run while keeping others from doing the same. Using an Adrenaline rush card on a just-discarded card can move you one step closer to completing a desired stage. Playing an Injury card on an opponent’s discard pile forces them to lose a turn.
The Unique Features of Triathlon
What sets Triathlon apart is its colorful design and card variety. The deck is composed of three distinct suits; runners, swimmers, and cyclists. There are also three colors giving the game a total of 9 unique sets of cards. Each set includes numbered cards (ranging from 1 to 7) and a pro card that can be any number, but cannot change its color or suit. In addition, there are three super pro cards, which are wild in both number and color, enhancing the gameplay options further.
