There are approximately 3 ball 'links' per inch.
This item is solid copper. Purity is 99.97%. Chain has been lightly polished and lacquered with a water base lacquer to keep bright and shiny. It is not visible nor does it detract from the appearance. The lacquer does eventually wear off or it can be easily removed with hot water and a mild soap if you want to treat chain with a patina or oxidizing solution. When new and unfinished, it will be bright and shiny like a new penny. Over time, copper develops a patina and darken into a warm brown color. This is a natural process. It is not a defect. Regular cleaning/polishing will help the item keep its bright color. Tips and tricks will be included with your purchase.
