1962 Press Photo Christmas Lights and Trees on Oxford Street in London

This is an original press photo. Decorative lights on overhead Christmas trees cast a bright glow in London's Oxford street in this scene this week. Famous shopping thoroughfare's illuminations were switched on just moments before this picture was made. The trees, sparkling with hundreds of colored lights, are suspended in mid air for one and one-quarter miles along the street from Marble Arch to St. Giles Circus. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 12-01-1962.
