John C. Green, age 31, has earned his living ing wide Scene mice high school. His fa- ther Larry, also an artist, is cred- ited with teaching him the art of oil painting and how the ever-hanging elements can be advantageous to the wildlife artist. His father's constant guidance and John's will to learn and strive for excellence has been a major goal in his life.

Being a native of South Dakota (a major flyway for ducks of all species) has provided a source of endless research for John. He enjoys painting birds and believes in painting them the way we see and remember them, thus making them a part of the landscape. Because of his years of dedication and first-hand observation, there is a viewer's satisfaction in the accuracy of his portrayals.

A dedicated sportsman and conversationalist, John has been an avid supporter of Ducks Unlimited. His paintings and prints, which are in galleries across the country and have been shown at major wildlife shows, have raised thousands of dollars for this vital cause.
