This is an original press photo. After reaching two thirds of the way up the face of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, a party of 6 rock climbers has given up the assault. Arrow indicates approximate maximum height reached by the climbers. Towering rock remains a challenge to man's adventurous spirit. Photo measures 6.5 x 9.75inches. Photo is dated 9-10-1958.
