A very nice piece from the mid-Twentieth Century.

Unique Pillbox style with open back so adjustment with ribbon will assure a secure fit.

Cute pleated frill sits atop the crest and bottom rim.

Color brilliant light burgundy/red.  NOTE: The flash makes it look more fire engine red.  I took a picture without the flash which shows closer to the true color (see last two pictures).

I don't know what to call the material, sorry... I can describe it as a soft corduroy without the ridges, like a mohair.  The liner is ether synthetic type silk or silk. Please let me know if I can improve this description as I'm not a tailor!  

Will accent a 1940s or 50's outfit wonderfully though, I think!
