Good condition. Pages are lightly toned. Text and illustrations are clear and colours are bright. Binding is tight. No hinge damage.
Buyers please note:
- Small handwritten name and number in pencil on the reverse frontis in Volume 1.
- Light foxing and soiling around the text block edges.
- Small spots and a few light stains on the preliminaries and ends in each volume.
- Small smudges and faint stains on occasional page margins, from general handling and reading use.
Covers:
Good. Stable. Gilt lettering and decorations are fairly bright, with some light scuffing. Small bumps and light rubbing to corners and spine ends.
Buyers please note:
- Scuffing to the leatherette surface on the rear of Volume 1, near the spine. This has given a reddish appearance to some parts of the material (see photographs).
- A few smudges and small dirt marks on the cloth surfaces.
