An uncommon edition that has been recovered with a new spine and boards. The original front and rear covers were pasted back onto the new boards. This work was done some time ago, perhaps in the 1950s or 60s. The rear hinge is holding, but has a shake. There is some dampness related rippling to the textblock. Most pages are free of any blemish, but some France and China pages have issues (See France PLUTON pic). There is foxing to the textblock edges. From the library of the late Frank Uhilg, Jr., former editor of the USNI Proceedings and the Naval War College Review. He made some light pencil notations that have been erased, but a few could have escaped attention. His and another former owner's signature are the only known marks.  #9.  Click on "Warship Observer" for complete listings, including other editions from the 30s.
