Linear Slide Bearing Stage w/Four THK RSR 15 Bearings, Two Slide Rails, Ball Screw Assembly driven by VEXTA Motor
For sale- a Linear Slide Bearing Stage with Four THK RSR 15 Bearings, Two Slide Rails roughly 9” long (one marked 328 and the other 328 KB), and an Issoku Ball Screw Assembly driven by a VEXTA PXB43G01-01A Stepper Motor via a toothed belt. The whole thing is mounted to a really sturdy looking stainless steel base. I kept the stainless steel plate that it was mounted to, that’s about 10 1/2" x 8 1/2" but you have to request it, not shipping ten pounds of steel just for you to throw it away. That is now shown reattached to the stage assembly in the last picture.
This is one of the more sturdy linear stages I have come across. It was inside what was no doubt a high dollar Seiko thermal analysis piece, so not something that was slaving away 24/7 in a production setting. The belt can be turned by hand and that moves the stage, but I have no way to power the VEXTA motor, so it is otherwise untested.
In the same thermal analysis piece there was a VEXTA UDX2107 that I have listed separately. The piece mounted on top of the stage probably weighed about 20 pounds but the whole assembly is so beefy I would bet it would carry way more than that assuming the little VEXTA motor was up to toting the load. The top plate measures 4 ¾” x 5 ½”. Using the existing limit microswitches it looks like you would only have about an inch and half travel, without those maybe 2 inches plus? As the larger piece of scientific gear was a Seiko product I would guess the six mounting holes on the top plate are probably metric threads, will try to remember to grab some screws for those.
